FAQs:
Q: What are therapy sessions like? What should we expect when we work together?
A: During our first few sessions together we will explore the patterns in current communication that lead to disconnection. While we are collectively learning about these harmful patterns' impact on your relationship, we will also be listening for your strengths in the relationship and times you have overcome obstacles. During these sessions we will also create a shared goal for our time together that is specific enough we all know what changes and impact we are aiming for. We will work together to create small steps towards this goal, establishing new patterns, evaluating what works, and improving on your unique strengths along the way.
Q: What if we are looking for online sessions?
A: Great! I provide both in person sessions in The Woodlands as well as HIPAA compliant online sessions through Google Meet, provided my clients are located within the state of Texas. For online sessions, it is imperative that you have access to a confidential space, without interruptions from others, and a strong wifi connection. I do not provide phone call sessions.
Q: Why should I work with a 'Marriage and Family Therapist'?
A: My training, and a part of my post graduate requirements, as a Marriage and Family Therapist is focused on educating and developing skills for tuning in and working with relationships and relational patterns. Due to this training I have enhanced my ability to work with multiple individuals within the same session. I have learned how to successfully navigate  conflict to establish and maintain a nurturing environment for all voices to be heard. Therefore, I strongly believe couples and families should seek out therapists with this focused training.
Q: How do we get started?
A: Like what you've heard? Have more questions? I provide 15 minute consultations (at no cost) so that we can discuss your specifics and any remaining questions you may have regarding what it would be like to work together. Either click the button below or the 'Contact' page above to reach me by phone or email. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
